Longlens work in bluechip productions has reached an incredible level of quality. It's getting harder and harder to please an audience which has grown up with landmark series and one offs that became constantly more spectacular over the last decades.

My approach to surprise the audience with new behaviour and exciting stories is to spend as much time in the field as possible. With endless patience and endurance I wait in hides or put a lot of effort into following wild animals through pathless rough terrain with heavy equipment on my back.

I rarely work less than four weeks on a sequence but sometimes even several months. Apart from that I am focused on intensive preparation and optimal equipment. No compromises!

Finally I am fully in my element when my work leads me in those wild regions of the world that have not been completely taken over by humans yet, where big carnivores still exist and one can observe the relationship between predator and prey.
